Question by tiddled: Why is there no rechargeable zinc air hearing aid battery?
There are rechargeable NiMH and NiCad batteries on the market. Why are there no zinc air batteries that are rechargeable?

Zinc air is a different chemistry than NiMH or NiCd.

    chances are its for one of two reasons, either there is simply not a high enough demand for rechargeable hearing aid batteries, or its not cost effective, or even a combination of the two. it could also be that the know they have you buy the nads, and are basically taking advantage of that fact. Sadly, that does happen. Just how much does a new hearing aid battery cost anyway? they would also require a special charger for that small battery, so back to whether or not its cost effective for them to produce such things, it may not be?
