I would guess a size 13. Unless you have a smaller ear and they needed to build this aid using a 312 battery. If you go to the Beltone office they should be able to access the correct size for your instrument.

  1. ZCT says:

Full shell hearing aids almost always use a 13 battery. Sometimes if the ear is small they have a 312 battery. It would be incredibly rare for any other size to be used.

Different battery manufacturers sometimes have different letters before or after the battery size like 13AZ or 312A. The letters don’t matter it is the numbers that count. 13 will always have an orange sticker on the back of them when new and 312 will always have a brown sticker.

If you take a look at the battery in the packet before purchase it should be really obvious which size is needed. Both sizes are the same diameter, however the 13 is twice the height of the 312. You simply cannot put the wrong size into the hearing aid door. It will either be way too big or clearly too small.

If you have an old battery you should be able to show it to anyone at any hearing aid center and they will be able to identify it.
