What is that temporary ringing in your ear, but lasts only a few seconds?

Question by sweeta :: What is that temporary ringing in your ear, but lasts only a few seconds?
Every once in a while my hearning will diminish, then a ringing will appear for about 10 to 15 seconds, and then vanish. I will regain the normal hearing and normal sounds again. This occurs once in a long while. Any experts who might know?

This is a condition known as Tinitus. It is relatively common.
You may find put more information with a Google search.

I think is called tinnitus. It happens to everyone. It can become acute and a problem if you have suffered ear damage (like being exposed to loud noise all day long for years). The last article I read about this said that unfortunately, there is nothing to do about it and it’s a pain to suffer from something like this.

But yours only lasts seconds, so there is probably nothing to worry about. Double check with your doctor though.

from noise damage to the ears and they’re trying to repair themselves…but won’t be able to be completely normal again.

Caused by loud Music, lawn mowers, air planes, and many things over 80 decibals

Agree with Nikki. I’ve also heard it’s an old wife’s tale of someone talking about you. How strong or loud the tone is, tells how descriptive what’s being said. As for the good or bad part of the talk…unknown.
