GUM soft picks are wonderful for people with and without braces. There are many brushes (ex.go-betweens) that are wonderful as well, but most of them do not fit between the spaces. Soft picks are very small and tapered, and are soft and easy to use. I would recommend using the soft picks often to clean between your teeth and braces, but you will not be able to fit it all the way up to the gum line in between your teeth, so I would recommend using the floss and floss threaders at least 2 times a week to make sure your are getting everywhere cleaned, especially the very tight areas that the soft picks will not be able to reach. I would also recommend investing in a water pik (or any other brand water irrigator) This will do the same basic thing and will be much easier as you wont have to actually put something between your teeth and braces, but once again, I would still suck it up and use the floss threaders 2 times per week. The water piks also allow you to add Listerine or an antibacterial solution in with the water to aid in cleaning. You can also try a “rubber tip stimulator” you can find these at rite aid and other stores. You can use them as a gum massager and along the gum line to disrupt the plaque. Good luck.
