Question by TimesSquareHarry: Should NYC put up decibel meters around town to catch the noisy traffic violators with excessive motor noise?
NYC has allowed certain vehicles to operate unlawfully in this city and the worst offenders are garbage trucks with turbo’s on them! They wake up the the DEAD with there whining noise.
Next worst is the motorcycles. They should test them at all entry places into the city and not allow them even to come in if there straight pipes do not pass a decibel test. DISTGUSTING!

Perfect spot would be at toll booths.
Put a decibel meter and camera there to catch the offender as they pull away.
More revenue for the city and lower bridge & tunnel fees.

City life does not seem to agree with you. Crowds, bright lights and of course noise are all part of the experience. Rather than allow garbage to pile up or the mass inconveniencing of citizens to suit your peculiarities why not try this. MOVE. give it some thought OK.

As long as ALL motor vehicles are treated the same way, I applaud noise ordinances.

It’s when they take a small segment and unfairly apply the laws that I have a problem.
