Excellent Bluetooth Headset,
This is a lightweight bluetooth 3.0 headset coming in at 11g. Thus far I have used it for 6 hours. The talk time came in close to the advertised 4 hours at 3:45 before needing charged. The charger/carry case worked as advertised and quickly charged the headset. I received this unit for review from Amazon Vine and as such it appears it is a pre-release product. The unit came packaged with the charger/carry case, mini-usb wall charger, 2 ear gels, and 2 ear hooks. Also included was a quick start guide, but a user manual was not included, nor was one yet available on the Samsung website. Due to the absence of a user manual I cannot speak to any of the advanced features such as voice commands or Android support.
However, I did test it on a Blackberry Bold 9900. The Bluetooth pairing was flawless. The information in the quick start guide was sufficient to have me up and running with the basic features. I used the headset to speak with numerous people in various states in the lower 48 and with differing phone carriers, both wireless and landline. Universally everyone said my voice was crystal clear and they could hear no background noise from my vehicle with the windows up and down, radio on or off, and the a/c on and off. They reported the same clarity in my voice in my home with the tv playing or the radio playing. So the dual mic noise/echo cancelation is flawless. Of course not all of those I spoke with were exposed to all of the listed conditions.
I was able to get about 50 feet from my phone before the headset disconnected, which is pretty good in my estimation.
This is a very lightweight headset and very comfortable. After a few seconds I forgot I had it on! It is slim and unobtrusive. I find the extremely lightweight carrying case/charger to be quite ingenious. One simply charges the carrying case with the mini-sub wall adapter and it contains enough power to charge the device up to three times. It also recharges the device quickly. This case is quite the bonus acting as a protective case and a charger while the device is in the cradle of the carrying case! Very handy for a day out in a state like mine where new laws forbid driving and talking on a cell phone without a hands-free headset. Texting is also forbidden for the driver…even while stopped at a light or sign. So the text-to-speech for email, sms and such for Android would be a coveted feature for the Android folks.
At this point I highly recommend this unit. I look forward to getting a manual and really putting the advanced features to the test!
Should any more positives or any negatives arise I will amend this review.

Loving the charging case,
I’m a bit of a bluetooth headset snob. I usually hang out on HowardForums testing every headset that comes out. It’s been a long time since I’ve been happy with a bluetooth headset. In fact the I ended up going back to the wired boom (theboom.com) headset for a while. I really wanted something that allowed me to take calls and make the other person feel like i’m NOT on a bluetooth headset, or in the car, or outside, etc..
This so far has done the job. People say they I sound crystal clear. The volume is pretty good, although sometimes I wish it would be slightly higher. The fit is very comfortable, it comes with a bunch of different ear gels. I chose the clear large one and it stays in my ear comfortably.
Now the absolute favorite thing about this headset is the case. The charging case does a few things I really like. Normally if I put in a headset with a gel earpiece in my jean pocket, inevitably when I pull it out it grips the pocket and pulls the gel earpiece off the headset. Also, accidental pocket redialing happens alot in most headsets. Putting it in the case solves these problems, also, of course that it charges the headset 3 whole charges! Which means I can travel for several days without charging it separately. I actually haven’t run it down completely yet but I’d think it’d last 2 weeks or so of heavy use should do ( 4hr talk time per charge). The case of course also just protects it from being crushed if I sit on it, drop it, etc.
Now the cons: Multipoint doesn’t work 🙁 I read the manual and for some reason even though it says it’s multipoint capable, I can’t get it to work which is a bummer since I want google voice on my computer and my cell to be used simultaneously. hopefully a firmware update will fix this.
The other one is it’s way too easy to redial someone, which means I have pocket redialed a few times (which is why I always use the case now).
Buy this headset, you won’t be disappointed.

best BT headset with my iphone4 yet.,
my plantronics voyager pro’s battery simply stopped taking a charge so i was on the hunt for a new BT headset, and i actually found this one via a bestmodo article on gizmodo. I just wanted call clarity in noisy environments as i travel for work often. first off the plastic carry case is a fantastic design – my plantronics ear bud would always become ripped while storing it my pocket or in my messenger bag, this thing is safe and secure in it’s plastic case, oh and it’s working double duty as a charger at the same time! i wish you could store the plastic ear hooks in the case as well though.
my only complaint is that it does become a bit painful (not my ear is on fire painful, but noticeable dull pain) to wear for extended periods of time (greater than one hour), i tried all of the buds and none of them were perfect and all caused ear exhaustion, i’ll call it at around one hour, the medium silicon one is my best bet.
speaking to colleagues and friends on this i am hearing responses that i sound crystal clear and better than even holding the phone to my ear/mouth. it’s a noticeable clarity difference, samsung hit i out of the park there. i also have no problems hearing in moderately noisy environments (driving my pickup on the 405 in LA for example). this is the loudest environment i have used the device in.
this headset also pairs and unpairs faster than other BT headsets i have used. very happy with this purchase, it would be a five if it fit just a bit better.
definitely recommend if you are in the market for a new BT headset
