most landline phones volume setting will only go up so far…

some cordless models, such as panasonic phones have a speaker phone on each handset, which should provide sufficient volume for someone with hearing difficulties…

but you might be better off looking for a phone with an amplified handset, or that is hearing aid compatible… there are plenty of phones on the market for those who are hard of hearing…

    Try a CapTel phone… it writes out what the person is hearing on the other side. A hearing aid with a T-coil is really the best solution. Good luck!
