   I have done that before as a kid. I used to be so shy of what to say whenever people stared or wanted to talk to me about my hearing aids, so I grew my hair long.

   There is really no way to get an accurate estimate. There are some Deaf and HOH guys who do grow their hair long while other Deaf and HOH guys do not grow their hair long.

   Not alot of them.

   I wear hearing aids and I’ve grown and cut my hair in a style to hide them. But sometimes I just put it up in a ponytail.

   well, I know a lot of Deaf and HOH guys and none of them grow their hair long to cover their hearing aid/s. They are proud of who they are and don’t see a need to hide it.

   I know lot of them show it.
   How do I know ? I am deaf and my family is deaf also.
   Not all of them are hiding from you.
   Very few do.

   I’m a woman and I make no attempt to hide my hearing aids. I’m deaf…I need them…why hide them?

   I’ll wear my hair in a ponytail a lot of the time…I don’t care who sees them. They’re as much a part of me as my…hair.

   No one should be embarrassed about something like that. People don’t grow their bangs long to hide glasses, do they? There is no shame in being deaf or hearing impaired.
