How long can I listen to my iPod touch with the volume all the way up before I get hearing problems?

Question by .: How long can I listen to my iPod touch with the volume all the way up before I get hearing problems?
I use music to handle stress, so I have to (for some reason) listen to it with the volume all the way up. I’ve been doing it for about 6 months now and haven’t had any issues…But how long will it be before I can no longer hear?

depends person to person. my dad has hearing loss from going to one heavy metal concert as a kid, yet I’ve been to too many concerts to count and I listen to my iPod with the volume up and have had no problems whatsoever.

What do you think? Answer below!

  1. George Constanza says:

You probably have damaged something even though you dont feel it. Continue and you will see complications like hearing tones/rings, infections, too much earwax build up, earaches, etc.

  2. Adam R says:

Depends on the Decibel level of the headphones, music, and the actual bitrate of the source audio itself.standard Ipod headphones don’t get very loud, so you probably won’t ever get any. unless you have a predisposition to hearing loss.
