How can you test your own hearing to find it its the normal range?

Question by Dee: How can you test your own hearing to find it its the normal range?
I use a headset for work and I find more so in social/party gatherings that I cannot hear what people say where others beside me can. I also finding that I am asking people to repeat what that say as its not clear. I dont have this problem when the headset is on and can pretty much hear people normally. What could be the problem and should I have an hearing test. Im only 40 and been using a headset at work for 2 years.

You really can’t.

Talk to your family doc. An audiologist is a pro that tests hearing.

Has the company which asks you to wear a head set carried out a risk assessment.
I would have your hearing checked, then consider whether you can make a claim for compensation.

You may undergo audiometry test in an hospital. Otosclerosis can result in conductive and/or sensorineural hearing loss.
