Does anyone else out there have trouble finding rechargable batteries in stores or online?

Question by Angela: Does anyone else out there have trouble finding rechargable batteries in stores or online?
I think they’re so hard to find. I’m guessing that if everyone has rechargables, the battery makers will lose money over time because people will no longer need to buy new batteries. Am I right?

1. I have no trouble finding standard AA,AAA, and such rechargeable batteries an chargers.

2. Rechargeable batteries of the mentioned sort are at least branded by the same companies that make disposable batteries, and sold along side them in the electronics/battery section of the major department stores I go to.

Now, some retailers put disposable batteries alongside some products that need them, or at checkout counters as impulse buys.

Rechargeables are a market, just like alkalines, and others. There will always be buyers for them, independent of buyers of other kinds. Each type has its niche, not to mention pros and cons. I AM surprised to hear of problems finding them. Walmart, Kmart, Target, Best Buy, Radio Shack carry them, to name a few. Drugstores such as Rite Aid, Walgreens, CVS, and others also carry rechargeable batteries.
