DO NOT BUY HEARING AIDS ONLINE!!! How do you know what kind to buy which is appropriate for you. Who is going to program it for you. Can you return it if it doesn’t work for you? Who will take an impression of your ear to get a custom piece made for your ear? An audiologist is trained to recommend an appropriate aid for you and will take care of all your needs with the hearing aid for the LIFE of the aid at no charge once you buy the hearing aid. If you buy the aid online and find someone to program it for you you will have to pay them everytime you see them and that is pricey. So you may think you are getting a deal but you really have no idea how much it is going to cost you. At least if you go to an audiologist you know that the money you spend is it. You can go to the audiologist every day if you want and they will not charge you to clean, check, reprogram the hearing aid etc. Everyone thinks that hearing aids are so pricey, but they include so much from the part of the hearing professional it is actually a great deal.

When you buy a hearing aid from my office you get a years supply of batteries, a two year repair warranty, a two year loss and damage warranty, free visits to my office for as long as you own the aid for cleanings, checks, reprogramming etch. Free hearing tests once a year. When you buy the aid you are getting the service it needs too. Often times it takes several appointments the first month to get the aid sounding right to you. Then after a few months of wearing you have gotten used to it you may want more amplification or you may want other changes made to the sound of the aid. You never know how many visits you will need.

I 100% agree with Hearing Professional and just want to add a few comments. Just because the price looks cheap online you are not necessarily getting a good deal. When I compare’s prices to my offices prices, our prices beat theirs ON EVERY SINGLE AID. If you’re just shopping for price you’re gonna end up spending more in the long run.

Side note: not ALL offices offer free in-house service for the life of the aid. You need to check with individual audiologists to see what their office policy is.
