This tester comes very poor instructions. There is a push button switch with a small battery stuck in the connecter that plugs into the truck with no mention of it in the directions.I don’t see how this could possibly plug into the receptacle. I would save my money if I had it to do over again. It also will not test the lights on a 5th wheel as configured.

This product is great for checking out the trailer circuitry and wiring for the pulling vehicle. The most common trailer connector today is the 7 pin. This product only works for a six pin. There needs to be a adapter of different type for the seven pin connector.
